This 13-Day Tour includes visits to all of the points of interest included in our 10-Day Israel & Palestine program, as well as important points in Jordan.  As with our 10-Day program, we visit Bethlehem, Nazareth, Jerusalem, and other major points of interest from Jesus' life, such as the Sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea, the Mount of Olives, the Mount of Beatitudes, Nazareth, and important places in Jerusalem.  In addition, we see Jordanian sights, such as Petra, Jerash, Amman and Mt. Nebo (from where Moses viewed the Promised Land).  Take advantage of your visit to the Holy Land to include Jordan -- an important and memorable destination of Biblical significance!

Sample Group Itinerary 

Day 1  -  Depart USAView Toward Jerusalem from Mt. of Olives
Depart the USA via overnight flight destined for Tel Aviv.

Day 2  -  Arrive Tel Aviv  -  Jerusalem
Arrival at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport, where we are met by our Tour Director.  We drive to Jerusalem, where we spend the next five nights.  Dinner at the hotel.  (D)

Day 3  -  Jerusalem  -  Mount of Olives  -  Jerusalem
This morning we begin our enlightening tour of the Holy Land with a trip to the Mount of Olives, where we can appreciate a spectacular view of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem.  We’ll visit the Church of Pater Noster and the Chapel of Ascension.   Jerusalem - St. Anne's ChurchThen we walk the “Palm Sunday
Road” to reach the Chapel of Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem.  We continue to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations, commemorating the Agony in the Garden.  This afternoon we’ll visit the Old City of Jerusalem, and walk its winding streets.  We’ll visit the Church of St. Anne, the Pool of Bethesda, the Chapel of Flagellation, Lithostrotos, and the Ecce Homo Arch.  We’ll proceed along the Via Dolorosa (the “Way of the Cross”) to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.  (B,D)

Day 4  -  Jerusalem  -  Bethlehem  -  Jerusalem
This morning we proceed to the Haas Promenade, where we enjoy a panoramic
Bethlehem - Church of the Nativityview of both the Old and New City.  Then we continue to Bethlehem, where we visit the Church of the Nativity, the Manger, the Church of St. Catherine, Grotto of St. Jerome, and the Shepherd’s Fields.  Returning to Jerusalem, we travel to the New City to visit the Temple Model, a scale model of Jerusalem as it was during the time of Jesus.  We proceed past the Israeli Knesset (Parliament), to the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed.  We also stop at the Hadassah Medical Center to see the famous stained-glass windows, designed by Chagall, representing the 12 Tribes of Israel.  (B,D)

Day 5  -  Jerusalem
Church of St. Peter in GallicantuThis morning we continue exploring the Old City of Jerusalem, including the Dome of the Rock at the Temple Area, the Al Aqsa Mosque, and the Wailing Wall.  We’ll stand in the Upper Room, where Jesus ate the Last Supper with His disciples.  Then we’ll see the Dormition Abbey, the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, commemorating Peter’s triple rejection of Jesus, and King David’s Tomb.  This afternoon will be free to further explore Jerusalem on your own.  (B,D)

Day 6  -  Jerusalem  -  Bethany  -  Dead Sea  -  Jericho  -  Jerusalem
This morning we drive to Bethany, site of the house of Mary, Martha and Lazarus.  We continue along the Dead Sea, and ascend via a cable car to Massada.  We proceed to the Ein Massada - View Toward Dead Sea
Gedi Oasis on the Dead Sea, which is the lowest spot on earth.  Then it’s on to Qumran to see the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.  We drive on to ancient Jericho.  We’ll enjoy a great view of Elisha’s Fountain and the Mount of Temptation, before returning to Jerusalem.  (B,D)

Day 7 - Jerusalem - Petra
Early morning departure from Jerusalem.  We cross the Bridge to Jordan, and proceed to Petra, the spectacular “Red Rose City.”  We’ll enjoy a horse ride through the Siq and visit el Khazneh (“The Treasury”).  The many attractions of Petra include the Roman Theatre, water channels and reservoirs, baths, public buildings, and paved streets. Dinner and overnight in Petra.

PetraDay 8  -  Petra  -  Mt. Nebo  -  Amman
We drive to Medaba, the “City of Mosaics,” where we visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George.  We can view the earliest surviving original mosaic map of the Holy Land.  We continue to Mt. Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land.  We end the day in Amman the Capital of Jordan, where we have dinner and overnight.  (B,D)

Day 9  -  Amman  -  Jerash  -  Jerusalem
This morning we visit St. Peter's Church. Then we drive to Jerash, a grand site of Imperial Rome.  We’ll see the imposing triple arched gateway built to honor the Emperor Hadrian.  We walk through the colonnaded street and the theatre.  We return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.  (B,D)Jerash - Theatre

Day 10  -  Jerusalem  -  Tiberias
We depart Jerusalem, and travel north past Biblical sites such as Bethel, Shilo and Lebona.  We stop at Nablus to visit Jacob’s Well, and to view Mt. Ebal and Mt. Gerazim.  We continue to Megiddo, the Armageddon of the Book of Revelations, where it is said that the final battle between good and evil will occur.  We proceed to the Sea of Galilee, and visit the baptismal site by the River Jordan.  On arrival in Tiberias, we check-in at our hotel and have dinner.  (B,D)

Day 11  -  Tiberias  -  Capernaum  -  Tabgha  -  Mount of the Beatitudes  -  Golan Heights  -  TiberiasView of Sea of Galilee from Tiberias
An enjoyable boat ride takes us across the Sea of Galilee to the Kibbutz Nof Ginosar.  We’ll see a well-preserved, 2000-year-old boat uncovered here.  Then on to Capernaum, the home of Jesus during His ministry.  We visit the synagogue where He taught, and then drive to Tabgha, the site of the multiplication of the loaves and the fishes.  Drive on to the Mount of the Beatitudes and visit the site of the Sermon on the Mount.  Continue to Hazor, a city rebuilt by King Solomon.  We ascend the Golan Heights to visit Caesarea Philippi, at the foot of Mt. Herman.  (B,D)

Day 12Mount of the Beatitudes  -  Tiberias  -  Cana of Galilee  -  Nazareth  -  Mount Carmel  -  Haifa  -  Caesarea  -  Tel Aviv
We drive to Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed the first miracle – turning water into wine at the wedding feast.  Continue to Nazareth to visit the Annunciation Church, Joseph’s Workshop, and Mary’s Well.  On the way to Haifa we ascend Mount Carmel for a panoramic view of the sea and port.  Continue to Caesarea, and via the Sharon Valley to reach Tel Aviv, where we have a farewell dinner and overnight.  (B,D)

Day 13  -  Tel Aviv to USA.
This morning we transfer to Ben Gurion Airport, where we board our return flight back to the
Haifa & the Bay from Mt. CarmelUSA.  We arrive back home the same day.  (B)
