This is an amazing itinerary for a group interested in geography and wildlife. The 14-Day tour visits Windhoek, the Skeleton Coast, and Etosha National Park, the leading wildlife area in Namibia. First-Class accommodations and most meals are included.
Sample Group Itinerary
Day 1 - Depart USA
Depart the USA today bound for Johannesburg, South Africa.
Day 2 - Arrive Johannesburg
We arrive in Johannesburg this evening, where we are met and assisted to our hotel for overnight. Intercontinental Johannesburg.
Day 3 - Johannesburg - Windhoek
Depart Johannesburg this morning and fly to Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. On arrival at the Hosea Kutako International Airport, we are met by our local English speaking tour guide. Transfer to our hotel. This afternoon we'll enjoy a city tour of Windhoek. Safari Court Hotel. (D)
Day 4 - Windhoek - Sossusvlei
Depart from Windhoek into the Sossusvlei Area. Arrival in the early afternoon. Sossusvlei Lodge. (B,D)

Day 5 - Sossusvlei
Before sunrise we will depart to Sossusvlei. Driving up to the Parking area of Sossusvlei, we will encounter magnificent shapes and colors of dunes and vegetation. With a 4x4 shuttle service we will be able to explore the heart of the dunes, some of which reach up to 400 feet. A walk by foot is part of the dunes experience. The word ‘Sossus’ means “Water gathering place” or ‘Place of Water”. In the afternoon we return to the lodge with a short visit at the Sesriem Canyon, which is a deep gorge formed by the waters of the Tsauchab River. Sossusvlei Lodge. (B.D)
Day 6 - Sossusvlei - Swakopmund
We drive via the Namib Naukluft Nature Park to Solitaire, the ‘one-horse-town’ with its small shop, well known for its famous “Apfelstrudel”. Then we proceed through the Gaub Pass and Kuiseb Canon, where we will experience a different Namib Desert. In the Namib Naukluft Park we will visit the unique Welwitschia plants in the Welwitschia plains and drive through the scenic Valley of the Moon. Hansa Hotel. (B)
Day 7 - Swakopmund
We drive to Walvis Bay, where we join a spectacular half-day Dolphin Cruise, with Snacks and Refreshments on Board . Also, optional scenic flights are offered. Overnight in Swakopmund . Hansa Hotel. (B)
Day 8 - Swakopmund - Damaraland.
Today our journey will take us along the Skeleton Coast, passing Wlotskas Baken and Henties Bay into the Damaraland. The landscape of Damaraland, and the areas adjoining it, is varied from massive mountain ranges to mopani parkland and savannah grassland. Vingerklip Lodge. (B,D)
Day 9 - Damaraland - Burnt Mountain - Etosha
Many fascinating geological formations and rock paintings at Twyfelfontein will be the highlights of today. We visit the Burnt Mountain, with its unusual rock colors, which give the impression that the mountain has been burnt. Unusual rock slabs, known as "Organ Pipes", as well as the Petrified Forest, where 100 ft. long trees were washed along some million year ago. The tour today ends at the Ongava Lodge, just outside the Etosha National Park. Ongava Lodge. (B,D)
Day 10 - Etosha
Early departure to Etosha National Park. Upon our arrival, our game drive will begin. We will travel from waterhole to waterhole in search of various animals, birds, etc.
We may find zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, springbok, impala and eland, which are abundant. In addition, we'll look for elephants, lions, hyenas, jackals, oryx, kudu, black rhino, impalas, and others. The focal point of the Etosha National Park is the huge, shallow depression, know as the Etosha Pan. Just before sunset we will leave the park and return to our lodge. Day 11 - Etosha - Eastern Etosha
After breakfast, a morning game drive is scheduled in the park . By lunchtime, we will be back in the Lodge to relax. Etosha is considered to be one of the most important game parks in Southern Africa. Ranging from dense bush to vast plains, it supports a spectacular number of animals. In the afternoon we depart Ongava for another game drive in the Park. We spend have dinner and overnight outside the eastern boundary of the park. Onguma The Fort. (B,D)
 
Day 12 - Eastern Etosha - Lake Otjikoto - Omaruru
Lake Otjikoto , where German Troops dumped cannons at the End of World War I, is our first sightseeing visit today. Some of the restored finds can now be seen in the Tsumeb Museum. The Museum also displays a complete collection of the minerals found in this area. After Otjiwarongo, we will continue to Erindi Ranch, where we will join an amazing open-vehicle, 4x4 game drive. Day 13 - Depart Omaruru - Windhoek - Depart Namibia
Drive back to Windhoek, via Okanhandja with a short shopping stop at the woodcarvers market. The tour ends at the Hosea Kutako International Airport, where we board our return flight. We fly back to Johannesburg, where we connect with our overnight flight back to the USA. (B)
Day 14 - Arrive USA
Arrival back in the USA today.
