What makes Parker's Exclusive Journeys tours so special?
Small Group Size. Our Exclusive Journeys programs are limited to a maximum of 20 participants. You do not get "lost in the crowd." Our experience shows that participants in smaller groups report that the tour was more enjoyable and positive.
Active, Adult Program. Our programs are designed for mature individuals who are in good physical condition in order to participate in all of the tour's activities. Children under the age of 10 are not accepted as members of the group.
Luxury Hotel Accommodations. We utilize only the top available hotels in our programs. In most cases, these are 5-star properties in major cities. In certain outlying areas, deluxe hotels may not be available; in such a case we use the best available accommodations.
Most Meals Included. All of our Exclusive Journeys programs include breakfast daily, as well as most lunches and dinners. However, we understand that taste differ, and allow you a few meals on your own.
Extensive Features Included. If you compare our programs with those of other tour operators you will find that our Exclusive Journeys offerings include a substantial number of sightseeing and other activities. However, we have balanced the planned inclusions with some free time to allow you to explore on your own. In general, we schedule one half-day free every second day when practical. In addition, many special activities are planned and included at no additional cost.
Negotiated Airfares. On many of our Exclusive Journeys programs we negotiate a special group rate for the international air transportation. This may include Business Class travel for a fare substantially below the published, unrestricted Business Class fare. If you are interested in Business Class travel, please ask us.
Transfers Always Included. Our Exclusive Journeys tours include transfers from and to the airport at the beginning and end of the overseas portion of the program, respectively. Unlike many tour operators, we will request that you be met and transferred even if you arrive early, or arrive or depart on a different flight than other participants, as long as Parker Travel has made you air arrangements or you have provided Parker Travel with your flight information.
Participant Information & Input. In the weeks and months leading up to your Exclusive Journeys tour, Parker Travel sends you information and updated itinerary details. In addition, we provide you with the opportunity to assist in designing the final itinerary. Where practical, requests for inclusions from Participants will be integrated into the tour program. What other tour operator offers this feature?
Professional Tour Director. Parker's Exclusive Journeys programs include the services of a Tour Director who will coordinate and oversee all activities of the tour. This is in addition to local English-speaking guides. (Note: In some instances, in the event a minimum number of participants is not achieved, the tour may still be operated with the use of Local Hosts in each locale in lieu of a Tour Director.)
Admissions and Most Gratuities Included. On all included program features, all admission fees are included. In addition, gratuities are included for all hotel and restaurant personnel, as well as the drivers and local guides and/or hosts. The only exception is the customary end-of-tour gratuity to the Tour Director (we will provide you with a recommended Tour Director gratuity with the final documents), and tips for services not included in the tour program.
