Terms & Conditions
"Customized Journeys" by Parker Travel
IMPORTANT. Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before requesting a "Customized Journey" from Parker Travel. They govern the relationship between You ("Your" or "User" or "Participant") and Parker Travel Associates, Inc. ("We," "Our," 'Us," "Parker Travel" or "Parker"). Your request for services, whether by telephone, facsimile, mail, or pressing "Submit" on this Site, is your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions, without change.
SERVICES PROVIDED. Parker Travel will work with you to design a tailor-made travel and tour program to international destinations worldwide. The services to be provided can include air transportation, hotel accommodations, transfers, guide and tour services, meals, rail transportation, cruise arrangements, and more..
MINIMUM SERVICES REQUIRES. In order to customize tour services, Parker Travel requires that your package include, at a minimum, hotel accommodations for five nights, and related guide and tour services.
REQUEST FOR SERVICES. Contact Parker Travel, preferably by completing the online Customized Journey Request Form, providing information including the number of passengers, origin airport, destinations, and services desired. We will respond to you by phone or email, to discuss the possibilities for your journey. Should we agree to work with you on the arrangements, an initial, non-refundable planing fee of $150 is required. If you subsequently purchase the services from us, the $150 is applied to the package cost.
PAYMENTS. The timing of the payment for the services provided will vary depending upon the types of services to be provided. In many cases, the costs will be due and payable upon confirmation of the services.
CANCELLATION CHARGES. As with payments, cancellation penalties and fees will vary by the services to be provided. Prior to proceeding with the planning of your journey, Parker will advise you of the cancellation fees which will apply.
Parker Travel is not responsible for other expenses that may be incurred as a result of cancellation, such as visa fees, vaccination costs, purchase of equipment or clothing in anticipation of the tour, airline cancellation fees, or other expenses.
CUSTOMIZED JOURNEY COSTS WILL GENERALLY NOT INCLUDE: Airport departure taxes (unless included in the ticket price), passport and visa fees, beverages with meals provided, items of a personal nature, such as laundry, souvenirs, communications, etc., excess baggage charges, trip insurance, gratuities to the drivers and local guides.
AIR TRANSPORTATION. Parker Travel may use special, negotiated airfares for its Customized Journeys clients. These special fares are available from most major U.S. airports. Similarly, should you desire business class transportation, we may be able to obtain a special, reduced fare with restrictions. Some airfares are subject to a service fee. All fares quoted are subject to change until ticketed. The air carriers involved set the penalties and restrictions as to cancellation and/or changes.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE. Each airline involved in air transportation has its own policy. In general, many carriers allow each passenger (whether considered as an "adult" or "child") to check a maximum of two bags, the first of which may not exceed 62" total dimensions (length + width + height) and the second of which may not exceed 55" total dimensions. The maximum weight of each piece is 50 lbs. Any excess in the number of pieces, size allowances, or maximum weight, may be subject to an "excess baggage charge." Most airlines limit carry-on bags to one item (which will fit into the overhead bins or under the seat in front of you) plus one "personal item," which may be a purse or laptop computer, for example.
TOUR ITINERARY. Hotel accommodations and included tour activities are subject to change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances. While Parker Travel will endeavor to operate the tour services as planned, changes may occur, even after the final itinerary is provided.
EARLY HOTEL CHECK-IN. Hotels typically allow check-in at approximately 3:00 PM. If your flight arrives earlier and you desire immediate check-in, we may be able to arrange that for an additional charge.
TRAVEL INSURANCE. Parker Travel highly recommends that you purchase a travel insurance program which covers baggage, trip interruption and cancellation. Parker Travel is not liable for any accident, injury, or illness, and is not liable for theft, damage, or loss of personal effects or baggage. Upon purchase of Customized Journeys services, Parker Travel will provide you with information on recommended travel protection plans.
HEALTH & IMMUNIZATIONS. Required immunizations vary by country. You may wish to check the web site of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at wwwn.cdc.gov/travel. You may also wish to check with your physician to ensure that you are in adequate physical condition to participate in the requested services.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS. A current passport, valid for at least six months after the planned return travel to the U.S., is required for Customized Journeys. Participants are responsible for verifying the entry requirements necessary for each country they transit or visit, and for obtaining the required documents. Parker Travel cannot obtain personal travel documents for Participants or assume responsibility for notice of countries' current requirements. Participants are responsible for any expense incurred as a result of delays or itinerary changes related to their lack of required personal travel documents.
UNUSED SERVICES. After commencement of your services, no refund shall be provided for unused or missed services.
